There is a new blog about Africa that I find inspiring and different from all the other blogs. This blog is about the positive things that come from or out of Africa. Africa has good things to offer too! Here is the link http://thefaceofafrika.blogspot.com/

While I welcome change in the White House, I am not sure which politician will deliver on their promise. All politicians sound alike and the media has not been doing a good job in helping us understand where each candidate stand on critical issues facing us today. I'll probably vote Obama because there is no much to choose from.

[...] I complain alot about the OLPC project, but at the end of the day I am excited about the devices and am pleased that my children will finally get to have one - and in the process help to make sure that some kids (hopefully in Africa) also get to have them. I am also pleased at least to perceive that Nicholas Negroponte and his OLPC Foundation appear to be coming back to earth and are developing realistic plans for deploying millions of these laptops in the third world. Perhaps I will even stop calling it a dam project with bunny ears. [...]

Interestingly, OLPC seems to be offering the laptops in single units now (http://www.laptopgiving.org/en/index.php), so I might have to get one for Tobias for Christmas. I'd be curious to find how they identify the recipients of the donated laptop, however, since their business model seems to depend on large orders. Curious.

I also like Africa and Morocco especially. Morocco brims over with contrast, colour and mystery and all you can do is simply catch your breath in wonder. It has a timeless quality that no longer exists in the modern world.
Morocco has become one of the major holiday destinations in the Mediterranean, an exotic location with extraordinary natural and cultural wealth. A rapidly growing holiday market, focused on quality.
And Saidia is the best place in Morocco. It has more than 20km of clean sandy beaches, three golf courses and has long been one of the favourite holiday destinations of Moroccans on the Mediterranean coastline.
