First time biking onto the ferry

I live on Bainbridge Island, and the way to get to and from Seattle from here is via ferry. Although I’ve lived here for years I’ve never had to commute into Seattle before and now want to start preparing myself for that eventuality – which I think works best by bicycle.

Today I tried it out and took a few pictures along the way. Not only are the views spectacular but the experience was a breeze. Biking is easy and fun! The cost is about $8 roundtrip (not much more than a regular passenger ticket) and it was incredibly exciting to be first on and first off the boat. I suppose the thrill will wear off in time, especially in cold and rainy weather.
