Today’s discovery: five.sentenc.es – treat all email responses like SMS text messages

I received an email today with a link to http://five.sentenc.es in the footer. Not only do I love this idea of sending and receiving shorter emails, but I love how people are inspired to set up initiatives like this. So simple, so compelling, so easy to join, so easy to spread – and without any quid pro quo.

I should take note of this for my /open campaign to help spread the Open Data movement, where perhaps I am asking for too much of people and am seeking to have the site do too much work (e.g. blog, directory, etc). Maybe just a one-page site like five.sentenc.es explaining the problem (that open data is hard to find and share) and the solution (to create a /open page on your site giving access to your open data). What do you think?
