I had a brief visit to Amsterdam this last week to participate in the Open Data for Development Camp (blog post to follow) and took a few photos that I really like, mostly in the Oosterpark which is a beautiful urban park near the Tropical Museum where the Camp took place.
This fellow had a mesmerizing, quirky smile. I would love to know the story behind this sculpture, I think from the 60s. (Update: a quick online image search turned up the info that this statue is called Bolgewas, by Paul Koning, 1969).
This graffitti pattern decorated the front of a long building – very inspiring.
I need to find out what kind of duck this is – beautiful!
