I am with the group purchasing the book in Tobias' name. Something else to consider on the book suggestions - the book needs to be of fairly general interest. If we have books suggested that are too technical or limited in interest it will not be checked out so we are looking for books that will appeal to a broader range of people. I can't wait to hear your suggestions!

The book is mostly about Free Software, but makes the broader issues clear enough that I think a person thinking about Civil Society would "get it." -- "Free Software, Free Society" from the Free Software Foundation. It's a collection of Richard Stallman's writings. I just finished it a few weeks ago.
